EPISODE 3

"THE ITALIAN CONNECTION"

Vowing to have revenge on Lucia for being thwarted by Lucia’s successful garden get-together, Miss Mapp, as part of the hanging committee, rejects paintings that Lucia and Georgie have been asked to submit to the local art exhibition. This backfires when she is (nearly) found out and the pictures are given pride of place in the gallery. The Wyses' relation, the Contessa Di Faraglione from Italy, is coming to stay, and Lucia and Georgie’s proud boast that they can speak fluent Italian will be put to the test. Lucia decides that she will have influenza and Georgie will have to absent himself for the duration. Miss Mapp finds Lucia out, but due to a coup on Georgie’s part, is put in her place once more.
